The men's choir, which was founded almost 50 years ago, visited Stilbaai on 21st Sept 2024.
They surprised with a wide variety of genres from serious spiritual and classical works, through to love songs and a cheerful, and truly entertaining closing "Cape" song by Pieter Roux, i.e. "Boomstraat", in real moppie style.
Outstanding balance and beautiful sensitive tones was experienced in their rendition of "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" which was accepted with loud applause and finally an encore!
The complicated harmony and challenging dynamic rhythms in the Ennio Morricone composition "E piu ti penso" impressed. They also showed that men can express emotion in the Irish love song "Maire, my girl" .
Overall a pleasant evening of song.
